Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to get to know our family and our story. To be sitting where you are takes courage and we want to honor your story too.  We believe that each human’s journey through life is made up of times of both joy and sorrow. We acknowledge that right now life might be difficult for you. If we were to support you in this moment – we would be so honored.

Our story starts out in 2012 when Dan’s sister Kate set us up on a date. Dan lived in Wisconsin, and Jill in Minnesota. It didn’t take very many weekend trips to realize that her match was going to last forever! After a year of long-distance weekend adventures, Dan moved to Minneapolis and we got engaged. In 2014 we were married at a barn in rural Wisconsin surrounded by our family and friends. Our marriage is built on laughter, adventure, communication, and support. We feel so lucky to have found each other.

In 2015, to pursue our dreams of living in the mountains and Dan going to graduate school, we moved to Littleton, Colorado. We knew right away we wanted to grow our family (beyond cats and dogs) and began trying to have children right away. After struggling with infertility for 3 years, we decided that our journey had a different route. After a lot of research and prayers, we made the decision to pursue adoption. Since that moment, we’ve known it is the right path for us.

We love living in Littleton with our two dogs, Bailey and Ranger. Our life in Colorado is filled with a balance of mountain adventures, time with friends and family, and relaxing at home. We both have large families that are deeply involved in our lives that take us often to Montana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

We know that adopting a child will change our lives and this is our hope – that parenting and growing our family will deepen this life we are living. We are so ready to create a safe place for a new baby to grow and develop into the person they are meant to be.

We want to thank you for the courageous choice you have made.

Best,
Dan and Jill
